Her music has a broad creative scope but is largely influenced by her own roots in folk and traditional Irish music.  \nFollowing her highly celebrated debut album\, Carry The Day\, which was triumphantly launched at Temple Bar Tradfest in 2016 to rapturous acclaim\, Aoife Scott released her much anticipated second album “HomeBird” in January at the Button Factory at Temple Bar Trad Festival 2020.   \nProduced by 12 time Grammy Award winner\, banjo and guitar virtuoso Ron Block (Alison Krauss & Union Station\, & ‘Oh Brother Where art thou)\, her second album is in many ways a turning point in her musical legacy. We present how the two cultures collided and impacted the mountain melodies we still hear today. We play a range of American folk\, Celtic\, sea shanties\, medleys\, and Appalachian mountain melodies.\nOur guitarist has summered in the blue ridge mountains of Tennessee \, woodwinds and autoharpist spent 14 years traveling to the Ozark mountains of Missouri\, and our string master pulls it all together with everything from mountain dulcimer to fiddle tunes. DESCRIPTION:The Mullins Brothers – Biography\nWhen Stu and Sam Mullins formed The Mullins Brothers duo in 2012\, it was guided by one principle: play songs they love and that enthusiasm will be contagious. The results are an eclecBc set covering four decades of the best of pop-rock: everything from classic songs by The Beatles\, Carole King and Steely Dan to modern masterpieces by Wilco\, Ben Folds and Fiona Apple.\nStu is the lead vocalist and plays guitar and percussion. He was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of eastern Iowa favorites Dogs On Skis. In 2013\, he released his first solo album\, “Violet”.\nSam plays keyboards and contributes backing vocals. He is the principal songwriter and keyboardist for SBckman\, an original alt-rock band he formed with his brother Stu. Over the last two decades\, SBckman released three criBcally acclaimed albums and was twice selected to perform at the InternaBonal Pop Overthrow fesBval based in Los Angeles and Chicago.\nAlthough the duo primarily plays cover songs\, they also include a few original selecBons from their various recording projects.

SUMMARY:Awful Purdies
DESCRIPTION:Awful Purdies is a Folk-Americana collective of five multi-instrumental women\, powered by seamless harmonies\, banjo\, accordion\, cello\, guitar\, mandolin\, and bass. The sound is an earnest nod to traditional American music\, folk\, old country\, bluegrass\, honky tonk\, and soul.\nThe live performance experience is intimate\, containing both humor and insight. On stage\, Awful Purdies actively share gratitude and support of one another and take turns stepping up as lead singers and songwriters.\nSince 2006\, Awful Purdies have been raising families\, telling women’s stories\, advocating for human rights\, and engaging with their communities in Eastern Iowa.

DESCRIPTION:Dogs on Skis formed in the mid 1980’s playing covers of classic rock. The band gained popularity in and around Iowa City/Cedar Rapids by focusing on playing songs that people liked to dance to. From the beginning\, focus was put on the band’s ability to perform material with vocal harmonies. In 1990 the Dogs released their first album ‘I Bark Therefore I Am’. As the band gained popularity they began to play larger outdoor events\, wineries\, and breweries. That trend continues today as the band typically performs 40-70 shows a year.
